Dolores AlvaradoCHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Ms. Alvarado is an experienced healthcare executive, whose diverse career in health spans over 46 years, including working in a neighborhood clinic, a family planning center, emergency room at a county hospital, and university-affiliated adolescent clinic. After a long career at the Santa Clara County Public Health Department, she took the helm at Community Health Partnership in 2011 as Chief Executive Officer.

Growing up in the SF Bay Area from the early 1960s until the mid 1990s gave Dolores the opportunity to witness first-hand civil rights activities and the rise of the community health center movement, the women’s movement, and the Farmer’s movement.  All these experiences fueled her passion for service and for healthcare rights. It is no surprise that she refers to her position as CEO, as having the honor of being part of the wonderful and meaningful world of community health centers!

Ms. Alvarado received a master’s degree in public health in social welfare with an emphasis in community health from the University of California, Berkeley. Ms. Alvarado has lived in Morgan Hill (Santa Clara County) since 1994 and enjoys spending time exploring the redwood forests and walking the South County trails with her husband, their two adult children, and granddaughter.
