Background & Experience
Mariana Alvarez has been a part of Community Health Partnership since 2012, when she started as an intern. She currently serves as a Program Coordinator, working with programs such as the Partnerships to Improve Community Health (PICH), Downtown Resource Center, and Patient Engagement. Her previous work at CHP includes projects with the Women’s Health Team and the Health Coverage Enrollment team where she worked as a Health Educator and ensured CHP’s enrollment counselors had the latest resources to best serve the community. She also assisted with Focus Groups that eventually lead to the creation of the Primary Care Access Program (PCAP). Mariana also has experience as a Peer Health Educator at San Jose State. She has expressed a passion in serving and advocating for underserved populations to have access to high quality and affordable healthcare.
