LOCAL HIV TESTING
Community Health Partnership works collaboratively with the County of Santa Clara and Asian Americans for Community Involvement (AACI) to administer a pilot project in which we will work together to effectively reach high risk people of color and to reduce new infections of HIV disease by expanding HIV Alternative Testing Sites (ATS) in Santa Clara County . Specifically, the program proposes to reach the following target populations:

The HIV tests will be Rapid oral tests from OraQuick which give results between 20-45 minutes. Rapid testing can only give preliminary positive results and is intended as a diagnostic tool only for negative test results. If your result is a preliminary positive there will be a follow up appointment scheduled for a confirmatory test given by a licensed phlebotomist. This Alternative Testing Site Program is intended to be a pilot program funded through the County of Santa Clara 's Public Health Department.

All sites will operate as drop-in/walk-in clinics and also by appointment. Appointments are necessary in order to arrange translation services for monolingual non-English speakers.
