HIV SERVICES
San Jose AIDS Education and Training Center(SJAETC) is part of the AIDS Education and Training Centers (AETC) Program of the Ryan White Program, Part F (AIDS education and training centers). SJAETC is one of the local performance sites for California. The AETC Program is administered by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), HIV/AIDS Bureau, (administrator of the Ryan White CARE Act).
The mission of the AETCs is to improve health outcomes of people living with HIV/AIDS through clinical training, education and consultation on the management of HIV disease. Clinical training, capacity building, and technical assistance is available for health care professionals administered by expert faculty members on varying topics related to HIV/AIDS prevention and care in the counties of Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Monterey, San Benito and San Luis Obispo.
What we offer
Community Health Partnership, Inc. and San Jose AIDS Education and Training Center offer skills building clinical trainings and intensive hands-on clinical rotations and mini-residencies. We request a six-week notice for clinical training requests. Trainings can be customized to relate to specific provider audiences, local events, epidemiology and specific public health emergencies. Examples of topics may include: overview of HIV/AIDS, update on treatment of HIV, HIV and co-morbidities. Trainings can be adapted to high, medium or low volume providers.
Clinical Consultation: Relative to patient care, treatment and/or medications
Technical Assistance: Chart reviews, assistance with development and review of policies and procedures.

• Continuing education units are available upon request for $25 per unit for nurses and physicians (1 hour credit per 1 hour training)
